Bioswale Kaatsheuvel

Description

Bioswales in a resort park. This implementation of bioswales for small residential areas are great examples for their use. Because of low pollution impact, high natural qualitative areas bioswales are perfect for strom water retention and drainage. This bioswale also has multiple hights which allows one part to be more for storage of water and less for intfiltration while the extensive used part is more for infiltration. Sadly I discovered that they probably did not apply the right soil improvement for this bioswale which has resulted in failure of the swale. This has been the case for several years, also without the cold. Local sources tells us that this is only a few times a year and it is cost-effective to pump the bioswale only when water stagnation occurs

Bioswales in een resortpark. Deze implementatie van wadi's voor kleine woonwijken is een goed voorbeeld van het gebruik ervan. Vanwege de lage vervuilingsimpact zijn bioswales van hoge natuurlijke kwaliteit perfect voor het vasthouden en afvoeren van stromwater. Deze wadi heeft ook meerdere hoogtes waardoor een deel meer voor wateropslag en minder voor infiltratie kan dienen, terwijl het veelgebruikte deel meer voor infiltratie is. Helaas ontdekte ik dat ze waarschijnlijk niet de juiste bodemverbetering voor deze wadi hebben toegepast, wat heeft geleid tot het mislukken van de wadi. Lokale bronnen vertellen ons dat dit slechts een paar keer per jaar is en dat het kosteneffectief is om de wadi alleen op te pompen als er waterstagnatie optreedt.
