Description

  1. Three reinforced concrete spring intakes built and diverted into central intake tank of 1m3

  2. Local filtration materials placed in spring intakes to improve water quality

  3. 883m of polyethylene transmission pipe connecting intake to community storage tank and buried 50cm below surface to ensure it remains secure from damage

  4. 5m3 ferrocement tank built to allow community adequate water storage for management in times of drought

  5. Three community tapstands built to SMASA standards and positioned centrally for easy access to community whom previously had to walk long distances to fetch water

  6. 1.5km of polyethylene pipe used to connect the distribution network according to design and buried to standard
