Description

  1. Gabion and masonry weir structure, resilient to flooding forces, built across riverbed to raise river height to required level for irrigation system to flow well. Previously community had built makeshift weir structures out of loose stone and timber but these were often destroyed during flood events.

  2. Construction of 15m of irrigation channel with new sluice gate to regulate flows across all seasons
