Bio-Retention System

Raingarden

Created at: 04 Sep 2022

Description

The streets are designed to integrate a “treatment train” that consists of sequential stormwater management strategies at the source of the storm water runoff and complimentary treatment strategies throughout the catchment to achieve stormwater quality and quantity objectives.

The bio-retention systems are designed to primarily manage stormwater from residential driveways/remove pollutants to allow stormwater to naturally filter into the ground (ground water recharge) and to control the amount of stormwater entering into the pipe systems and reduce the total volume and peak flow of a storm event
