Housing on Stilts (ISF) - Sitio Under the Bridge, Mandaue City

Description

Housing on stilts as a form of climate adaptation to protect the residents against flooding. These structures were inhabited by informal settler families (ISF). Sadly, in last April 2024, the location was ravaged by a fire that destroyed more than 300 structures. This event left over 700 families and more than 2400 individuals homeless. The fire victims are supported by the Looc Barangay, the City of Mandaue and other cities in Metro Cebu.
