National Park De Groote Peel The Netherlands De Groote Peel National Park is an internationally recognized wetlands area on the border of Limburg and North Brabant. In the past, this bog area has been important for the extraction of peat, but today it is a breeding ground for hundreds of species of marsh and water birds. Stroll along the ponds, marshes, heathlands and open spaces and enjoy this special piece of nature.

Nationaal Park De Groote Peel is een weids, waterrijk en stil hoogveengebied dat vooral bekend staat om zijn vele vogelsoorten en bijzondere geschiedenis. Overal in het landschap zijn de ‘littekens’ van de turfwinning in het verleden nog zichtbaar. De Groote Peel zelf kunt u mede dankzij de knuppelbruggen te voet verkennen. Alle peelgebieden zijn rondom met de fiets te bewonderen.
